How do we support this?
We offer a media-free environment while the children are in our care, or at school. This means no media in the classrooms and a dress-code that asks for no characters, or large logos and lettering on clothing. While at school the children, work, play and learn without screens or the influence of advertising & marketing.
We have a school-wide policy asking families to restrict media while at home, especially on school nights.
The environment and our like-minded community support families in a move towards less screen time in hopes of enhancing the overall educational experience of each child while helping to form healthier lifestyle habits during their elementary years.
